Mercado Hidalgo is an open market filled with food vendors and merchants selling local goods. There is a central square near the market that has restaurants with outdoor seating and fountains.

There is a Public Tour from Guanajuato, including Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel, offered if you want to venture out.
