Where the ruins meet the Aegean

If you are planning a trip to Greece 

The preferred times to visit are Spring (April-June) and Fall (Sep-Oct), which are less touristy and offer excellent warm weather for outdoor activities. 

I travelled back in April 2023. I  toured Athens, Delphi, Kalambaka, Meteora, Mykonos, and Santorini for eleven days.

Flights, hotels, and local excursions.

I toured Acropolis, New Acropolis Museum and Delphi while in Athens, I stayed at the Polis Grand in the downtown area near the Omonia Square and Plaka district. 

Then an overnight stay in Kalambaka at the Amalia Kalambaka Hotel in the countryside. and then to the Meteora Monasteries. 

The tour ended with 3 days in Mykonos and Santorini. In Mykonos, I stayed at  Hotel Tagoo. The hotel overlooks the Aegean and the town below.

Greece has the most amazing food. Obati Italian restaurant and pizzeria is a short walk down the hill from the hotel. There were a few seafood places on the shore that offered a variety of seafood and wine choices. Then, I stayed at Hotel El Greco Resort & Spa in Santorini.

The hotel is beautiful. It has two pools and a restaurant with delicious Margherita pizza. There are several places within walking distance while on the island.
