In 2022, my son and I traveled to Guanajuato, Mexico, for Thanksgiving weekend. I wanted to do something different than the usual Turkey and dressing. I figured I already had 4 “free” days that did not take from my vacation time. I booked the ticket and hotel. I also looked for a few local excursions to stay busy while we were there. It was a fantastic getaway. The cost was about the same as if I had gone home for the holiday. This is a picture outside one of the many beautiful buildings they have in downtown Guanajuato.
