Belize

Belize is affordable and beautiful. It takes less than eight hours to get there. It is white sand, blue waters, paired with fish tacos topped with Caribbean slaw and coconuts filed to the rim with rum.

It is ideal for anyone who wants a relaxing vacation.

Belize is home to the largest barrier reef in the Americas. It makes an ideal destination for snorkeling, diving, and wildlife exploration.

I traveled to Caye Caulker in April, right before the busy season. I spent most of my time relaxing, but I did schedule a half-day excursion with Cayman Tours. They took us to swim with nurse sharks and stingrays, and fed tarpon. The barrier reef and various tropical fish swimming around us were a fantastic experience, being my first time snorkeling

The Flights and hotel deals for December to May.

The lobster festival is held in May and June on each of the islands. The festival is held in three locations in Belize: Placencia, Caye Caulker, and San Pedro.

We arrived early so no lobster for us but my next trip back with be during this time.
